Local distillery 11 Wells hasn’t opened their cocktail room yet but it sounds like it should be coming very soon (and now with a restaurant as well!). In the mean time, they have been opening their doors from time to time for tours and samples.

One such time is coming up next weekend for the St. Paul Art Crawl from October 9th-11th. Browse the work of local artists while enjoying spirit samples in the historic Hamm’s Brewery. To sweeten the already great deal, 11 Wells will be hosting a series of FREE classes called “Know Your Spirits.” This sounds like a GREAT opportunity to both drink and learn. And for free!

I’ll be there at 1pm on Saturday, see you there?

Ask me about my bar…(charts) I’ve been to Montreal in a blizzard (February 2019) and an ice storm (December 2025) - let’s see how June treats us! My sweet girl Nyx (pictured here with her favorite toy) joined Frodo on the patio in the sky tonight. Her kidney disease progressed rapidly at the end and when she stopped eating, or loudly bringing us toys at night, we knew it was time. While I anxiously await the @tales_of_the_cocktail Spirited Awards Top Ten and Media announcements that start tomorrow, I put some energy into figuring out my seminar plan for July. This year’s agenda didn’t have an “add to calendar” option and it really helps me to have a visual schedule so I can see which seminars conflict with one another - so (of course) I built a spreadsheet.
