How drinking helped my social anxiety, but not in the way you might think

October 28, 2015August 8, 2018 by Kate
Spending the night in Rochester before eldest kiddo has surgery in the morning (all good things). Wanted to give them some space so we wandered a bit and found @bitterandpour for a couple of cocktails. We’ve been in this space before but not to this bar. The drinks are tasty and the place is hopping on a Tuesday night. A nice place to breathe for a minute during a stressful time. @jessipollak of @spoonandstable was just named @worldclassus Bartender of the Year!! I am so proud to call this rock star my friend and my bartender - congratulations!!! Sat on the patio with a cocktail despite yesterday’s heatwave - I’m calling it #talesofthecocktail training for next month. It’s not just marshmallows, I do actually drink the stuff too! Grapefruit MarshMalortollows - done and dusted! I’m kind of shocked at how much the @jeppsonsmalort bitterness come through, even in what’s basically a pillow of sugar. Personally, I think they are actually pretty darn good*! Find out for yourself if you can find me at one of the Malort launch events-tonight @palmersbar or tomorrow @meteor_mpls Strange things are happening in the kitchen tonight.
